Kim Kamarebe, Uganda
Kim Kamarebe was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda. She has significant experience in Investment Banking and Private Equity in the US, European and African arenas. Most recently, Ms Kamarebe worked at HSBC Principal Investments focusing on private equity investments in large cap African enterprises. Prior to that, she worked at Goldman Sachs International, where she worked on US$bn US and European real estate transactions, €bn European leveraged finance and financial restructuring transactions, in addition to European and African Mergers & Acquisitions advisory. At Goldman Sachs, Ms Kamarebe was integral in the restructuring of a €10bn pan-European real estate conglomerate and in the initiation of a sub-Saharan Africa Mergers & Acquisitions advisory focus.
Ms Kamarebe has an Operations Research and Financial Engineering degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
