Name: Imad Ahmed

University: The Fletcher School, Tufts University.

Location: London, UK

Imad Ahmed was working with the Investment and Marketing Teams in London. He is pursuing a Master of International Business at The Fletcher School, Tufts University and HEC Paris on a Schmidheiny Global Business Scholarship. At Fletcher, he has advised OPIC on how to market its Political Risk Insurance products for investments in frontier markets. Imad horizontally expanded the services of an accounting firm in London, has been Features Editor at Pakistan’s The Friday Times and publishes in The New York Times, Boston Globe, and Internationale Politik. He has managed political and social campaigns in Pakistan and the United States and has a BA in Economics from UC Berkeley.

Name: James Bain

University: Booth School of Business, University of Chicago

Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

James Bain has constructed a marketing strategy for Compagnie Fluviale du Mekong in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. James is pursuing an MBA at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. James worked as a Senior Consultant at IBM’s Global Business Services, Strategy and Change Practice. He has a BA in Politics from New York University, where he won the Dean’s Award for best honors Politics thesis.

Name: Farnaz Chavoushi

University: Harvard Business School, Harvard University

Location: London, UK

Farnaz Chavoushi worked with the Investment Team in London. She is pursuing an MBA at Harvard Business School. As a student, she has worked with the IFC’s IT and Telecom investment team in emerging markets. Prior to her MBA, she worked for McKinsey’s Corporate Finance practice in Amsterdam, advising senior corporate executives and private equity players on growth strategy and M&A activity. Prior to McKinsey, she worked at the UN Development Program in Tehran. She has two previous Master degrees; one in International Relations from SAIS at Johns Hopkins, and one in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and the Rotterdam School of Management. Farnaz has been volunteering her consulting services to a micro-leasing organisation in Tanzania.

Name: Mambidzeni Madzivire

University: Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford University

Location: Monrovia, Liberia

Mambidzeni Madzivire has carried out due diligence on the only health clinic to have survived both of Liberia’s civil wars in Monrovia. She has also suggested improvements to the clinic’s work-plan. She has been working on an initiative to ensure the sustainability of donated medical equipment, supported by a grant from the Clinton Global Initiative University. Mambidzeni is from Zimbabwe and is pursuing an MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Mayo Graduate School and a BA in Physics and East Asian Studies from Smith College.
